Join us on Saturday, August 1, 4 PM - 7 PM for the opening of our annual themed group exhibition Endless Summer.  To supplement this event, the gallery will be featuring live jazz renditions of summertime hits by TRio, featuring Tyler Rosenke on the drums, Ron Gilotti on the upright bass, and Howard Post on the guitar. Shoes, shirts, and masks are required, but guests who show up in their favorite summer attire -- from beach chic to tacky tourist, will save 10% on any Endless Summer purchases the night of the opening! artsondouglas.net

Selections from Jack Mitchell: Icons & Idols

Opening Reception, August 1, 4 PM - 7 PM | Jack Mitchell, American photographer and author, was best known for his photographs of American artists, dancers, film and theatre performers, musicians and writers. This exhibition features photographs from the book Icons & Idols: A Photographer’s Chronicle of the Arts, 1960-1995 that are now part of the permanent collection of the Atlantic Center for the Arts. These masterfully printed selenium-toned, gelatin silver prints were completed during a 35 year period in New York City and represent highlights of Mitchell’s portrait work. From actress Julie Andrews to operatic soprano and concert singer Barbara Hendricks, this display is a celebration of women who have simultaneously balanced high profile careers with the intricacies of motherhood. Summer Family Series: All Jazzed Up – Facebook Live
