Residency Statement:

I hope to be working on how to be still and moving at the same time and I have no idea at this moment what I mean in this. It will be terrific to make experiments with this impossible thought form using the associates for support… if they chose. Otherwise, in relation to the Associate Artists, my intention is to support each individual through coaching them in their own work if they chose.  This will either be done on a one to one basis or if the artist chooses, others can be present during the coaching sessions.

Application Requirements:

Applicants should have at least three years of making work that is primarily reliant on the intelligence of the body and how it relates to an historical, cultural, and personal understanding of performance.

Please submit a description, written by you, of one of your performances plus a statement about how you work and what you wish to develop in your process while you are in residence. A sense of community will be encouraged. Learning through practice a goal of sorts. Writing that learning will be encouraged. (.doc, .docx, .pdf)

Residency Fee: $900

Includes a $100 administration fee, weekday meals and housing; does not include artist materials, transportation, or weekend meals.
