ACA Summer Art Camp

Painting, music, dance and more – kids love Summer Art Camp at Atlantic Center for the Arts! Modeled after Atlantic Center’s world-renowned artists-in-residence program, each one-week session features three classes that give kids an opportunity to explore ideas of art and culture through hands-on experiences with a variety of art forms, including paper maché, painting, photography, yoga, drumming, dance, and more. This year we celebrate New Smyrna Beach's 250th anniversary with the theme “The Art of NSB”. Weekly art camps: June 5 – July 20, 2018 (Ages 6-12) and July 24 – July 27, 2018 (Ages 13-17).
Tuesday – Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM. $130 per week/ $105 for ACA members. Pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available for each session.

Doris Leeper, Atlantic Center for the Arts Founder, was adept at many things but hard edge painting and large scale sculpture were her expertise. Leeper expressed herself through color variation, shape reconfiguration and abstract expressionistic color field painting. She created intriguing, illusionistic paintings and installations. To pay homage to Doris Leeper and her contributions to contemporary art, Harris House of Atlantic Center for the Arts is seeking entries for a juried art exhibition titled “Hard Edge Painting” for the month of September. #CallForArtists
