For 34 years, Horsin’ Around has been THE event to enjoy an afternoon with friends in support of the arts! From its innovative beginnings on a horse farm (hence, the name), to its new staging at the Brannon Civic Center with it stunning panoramic view of the Intracoastal Waterway, we invite you to join us! Earth Day celebrates the beauty and biodiversity of our planet. The presentation by Dr. Spence will address the beauty and biodiversity of our backyards and urban landscapes. He will talk about the challenges of urban landscaping and how we can be better stewards of the earth.

Come celebrate Earth Day with artist/art therapist Laura Bohn. Intuitive Art Figures (also called Spirit or Healing Art Dolls) have been used in art therapy to help participants reframe their stories to make sense of each stage of life: present, past, or future wishes. We will be using natural and recycled materials as part of Earth Day Awareness.

Come explore the world of altered books as personal art expression with artist/art therapist Laura Bohn. The goal is to address therapeutic concerns and positive emotions through personal pages. Altered books provide a symbolically layered means of exploring reflection and transformation, especially when making art intentionally for growth and well-being.

Painting, music, dance and more – kids love Summer Art Camp at Atlantic Center for the Arts! Modeled after the world-renowned artists-in-residence program at ACA, each one-week session features three classes that give kids an opportunity to explore ideas of art and culture through hands-on experiences with a variety of art forms, including paper maché, painting, photography, yoga, drumming, dance, and more.

Come explore art journaling in this class led by artist/art therapist Laura Bohn. In this workshop we explore the possibilities of adding personal and/or universal archetypes to a journal page spread. Archetypes can be used as metaphors to gain insight into personal storytelling.

Come play and explore with fluid watercolor painting using flowing movement and body awareness. In this class led by artist/art therapist Laura Bohn, we will begin by painting abstractly to create a space for freedom to play with the paint. If you are a beginning or more advanced watercolor painter, free yourself through the art of playing with watercolor painting and spontaneous writing and reflection.
