Join the summer camp at Babe ‘Alonzo’ James Community Center, as ACA Community Artist, Bethany Bennett leads a weekly workshop for youth.
The STEAM Sketch Club is an opportunity for youth to have fun learning about science, technology, engineering and math using the arts. Bethany Bennett will guide students through topics including architecture, design, kaleidoscope lettering, Tesselations, and more! For example, the first week will answer questions about sketching: What is a sketch? What are sketches used for? What is a prototype? How do people transform ideas into material things? We will look at how scientists, inventors, mathematicians, architects, designers all use the sketch as a starting point and share real-world examples.
