Altered Altoids Tins with Self-Care Cards
1 PM -3:30PM | Live Oak Cultural Center, 1050 Live Oak Street
Come enjoy some creative self-care and create your own unique artwork made from altered Altoids tins. We will turn each tin into a self-care box with your own home-made self-care cards. Artist and art therapist, Laura Bohn (MAAT) leads this workshop to start the spring season of renewal. Participants must provide their own supplies. Registration limited to 8 people.

McLatchey, for a video series that takes us on a journey of learning from the most notable masters of poetry, from Homer to modern, from sonnet to ode to free-verse, and from America to the world. Open to all poets of all levels who want to try their hand at new techniques - or simply the poetry-curious who want to join us on a journey as we enjoy some of the most beautiful poetry ever written! This program is made possible through a grant from the Florida Humanities Council.

Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) is driven by a mission that focuses on multidisciplinary artistic collaboration and mentorship. Since 2015, ACA Arts & Wellness ambassadors have developed a shared culture and experiential method that connects the arts to community health. We invite teaching artists, community leaders, and healthcare professionals to learn these techniques and best practices in a unique academic forum held at the beautiful artist complex of ACA, featuring online and in person presentations. During the academy, participants will learn ACA’s organizational culture of public engagement that connect the arts to community health. The academy is taught by ACA ambassadors, staff, and invited guest leaders in the field of arts and wellness. The vision of this program is to advocate for social engagement, experiential learning, and creative thinking using the arts to define a holistic path to improve physical, mental and behavioral conditions.

ACA Community Day, featuring BIG INK
November 6 - 7 (one day attendance required) | Application Deadline: August 30
BIG INK is hosting a weekend of monumental woodblock printing at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. We invite artists interested in carving a woodblock of at least 24 by 36 inches to participate! First, you submit a design for consideration. Either a previously created image or a new concept is acceptable. If selected, you will have two months to carve a woodblock based on your submission. No prior printmaking experience is necessary. You will learn the process through a combination of online and in-person instruction.
