One-hundred dominant species of plants and ferns and their associated habitats in and around Atlantic Center for the Arts were documented from Spring 2015 through February 2016, resulting in the publication of “Plants of Atlantic Center for the Arts,” published by Bethune-Cookman University Press. This project was led by Dr. J. Cho, Professor of Integrated Environmental Science at BCU, and a team of researchers including Ray Jarrett, UCF Coordinator of Urban Forestry and Natural Lands Program; Dr. Don Spence, Certified Arborist and Assistant Professor of Plant Pathologist; Doug McGinnis, Board of Trustee of Atlantic Center for the Arts; and Dr. Michael Reiter, BCU Professor of Environmental Science.
