Power Animal Painted Collage Art Journal Workshop

Come relax and imagine your art journal! In this workshop we explore animal imagery and the animals that you relate to. Are you brave like a lion or loyal to family like the wolf? Native Americans use knowledge of animals as they relate to the self in storytelling and rituals. Art therapists and healing artists also use imagery as metaphor for powerful storytelling and ritual.
Print or find images of your animal of choice along with any other collage elements to collage and paint in your journal. You may also bring a print of yourself or another figure to add to the collage. We will also have extra magazines for collaging if you do not have any animal imagery.
We also have magazines available for choosing imagery.
If you have a journal from previous class please bring it.
Journals and all materials provided for new attendees. Not sure if you will like it? You may also choose to just explore and play with materials in your journal and come up with your own prompt.
