Enjoy a relaxed, sensory experience outdoors with certified forest bathing guide, Eve Payor of Atlantic Center for the Arts. Forest bathing, also known as Nature Therapy, can be practiced by anyone and does not require any special equipment or skills, only a willingness to slow down and appreciate the moment.
This practice is a simple and effective way to relax, recharge, and reconnect with yourself and our environment. The health benefits of being in nature and inhaling the aromas of trees are well documented and include enhanced focus, alertness, memory, improved neurobehavioral function, better mood, reduced blood sugar levels, less stress (lower cortisol levels), reduced anxiety, restored antioxidant activity, and a decrease of inflammation in the brain.
Come dressed to walk around the beautiful Ward Park, directly adjacent to the Center for Health & Wellbeing, and prepare yourself for an activity that will improve your body, mind and soul.
This program is presented by Atlantic Center for the Arts and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.
