Where creativity connects generations. Join us for a joyful one-hour session designed especially for grandparents and family caregivers with preschool-aged children. No prep. No pressure. Just shared discovery in an inspiring arts space. Each week includes hands-on art activities, learning through playful exploration, meaningful connection time with simple ideas to continue at home.

Dr. Amy Michaelis
Dr. Amy Michaelis has been working in early childhood education since 2005 and is passionate about helping young children learn through play, curiosity, and everyday experiences. As a behavior analyst, educator, and co-founder of Upward Trend Academy, Amy has spent nearly two decades supporting children and families while helping caregivers feel confident in their child’s development and early learning. She loves showing parents and grandparents simple, practical ways to build language, early literacy, and problem-solving skills using play and affordable materials at home. Amy believes some of the most powerful learning happens during shared moments.

Lindsay Strausbaugh
Lindsay Strausbaugh has been working with young children and families since 2009. She is passionate about creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that help children grow in confidence and curiosity. As the co-founder of Upward Trend Academy, Lindsay has helped build a supportive learning environment where children develop strong foundations in communication, social skills, and early academics. She enjoys working closely with families and believes that some of the best learning happens through simple activities, meaningful conversations, and everyday play.
