Creating A Tribute Page Spread: An art journaling workshop

June 11, 2022, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Do you feel the time is right to memorialize someone? Is there a mentor that helps you in your life? Is there a famous artist, musician, writer that you look up to? Join M.A.A.T. certified art therapist, Laura Bohn to explore creating an art/visual journal tribute page dedicated to a mentor, loved one, or ancestor. Creating a tribute art journal page or even an entire art journal of a loved one is a way to give meaning and storytelling to that special person or animal in your life, past or present. The goal of therapeutic art journaling is to create a visual journal as a safe container for personal visuals and stories, with reframing and reflecting.  Art journaling promotes relaxation by learning to understand one’s journey and story in a supportive environment. Added benefits can include self-growth, discover, and joy through visual storytelling in a supportive group environment. Benefits also increase when art journaling becomes a regular creative practice at home.
