In this introductory art journaling workshop, you will learn how to create an art journal page spread not only for self-care and storytelling but also to explore fun and creative mark making and collage techniques used in mixed media. Feel free to bring any collage materials from magazines, or printing. Aprons are provided, but dress in clothes for painting. Art Journaling (also called Visual Journaling) is used by students, artists, art therapists and anyone wanting to explore self-expression through mixed media in a journal.

Laura K. Bohn is a professional artist, art educator and ATR registered art therapist. She completed her Master’s degree in Art Therapy in December 2014. She has been an art educator for many years and is now an art therapist available for facilitating art and wellness workshops. She has exhibited at the Florida Museum for Women Artists, De Land Museum of Art, IGM gallery in Los Angeles and Wolfe Gallery in De Land, Florida. Some of the art festivals she has exhibited at includes IMAGES, Mount Dora, Gaspiralla, De Land, and Maitland. Laura has taught classes and workshops at De Land Museum of Art, Ormond Memorial Museum of Art, Casa Montessori School and Children’s House Montessori School, and has shared her talents at Atlantic Center for the Arts for over a decade leading workshops in expressive arts.
