Chef Henry Salgado, Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar
Henry Salgado is a two-time James Beard Award semifinalist for the Best Chef South award for his work at the acclaimed (now closed) New Smyrna Beach restaurant, Spanish River Grill. He and his wife Michele brought the same creativity to Txokos Basque Kitchen in Orlando’s East End Market. Salgado is back in the Central Florida food scene as the Executive Chef at Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar in Ormond Beach. Chef MacKenzie Smith, Black Dolphin Inn

Chef David Moscoso, Third Wave Café
As the Executive Chef of the Third Wave Wine bar and Café, David’s specialties are in traditional Mediterranean and Southern Coastal Cuisine. He focuses as much as possible on sourcing Local Ingredients with Florida Farms and fishing industry. Chef Michael Bartscher, Azure at The Shores Resort
Mike Bartscher, Executive Chef for The Shores Resort and Spa and Volusia County local, graduated from Atlantic High School and Daytona State College. He and his team craft menus for the Shores Resort’s in-house Azure restaurant, room service, banquets and monthly wine-pairing dinners. He focuses on featuring cuisine that “creates that memory on the palate.” Bartscher combines his affinity for Floridian classics, locally sourced ingredients, his flair for New American Cuisine and going extra lengths to offer the highest quality dining experience. Chef Jamie McFadden, Cuisiniers Catered Cuisine & Events
Jamie McFadden’s “Fresh Approach” cooking style and attention to detail are the perfect recipe for an exciting career. Jamie has cooked twice at the James Beard House in NYC and appeared on NBC’S “Today Show”. He was named one of Orlando’s “40 under 40” and one of Central Florida’s Top 20 Chefs by Restaurant Forum, the only caterer to do so. Recently, Jamie was inducted into the Orlando Sentinel Culinary Hall of Fame and Best Chefs in America while adding Vintner to his resume, creating “Snowbirds” Winery. Bryce Hammond, Associate Artist-in-Residence with Radcliff Bailey (2010) and Arts on Douglas Artist
Bryce’s work documents evidence of human interactions in man-made environments through first-hand observation of transient poverty culture. This data is compiled to pollinate and present diverse techniques of expression including participatory installation, voyeuristic sound and documentation through paintings and other art objects.
Woody Igou, ACA Trustee and Associate Artist-in Residence with Allen Ginsberg (1984) and Douglas Copland (2000)
Woody is a writer and sculptor based in Winter Park, where he is also a renowned trial attorney, founder of braininjury.com, and founding member of the Civic Minded 5, a volunteer creative music presenting group that has been fundraising and organizing concerts since the mid-1990s.
Harry Messersmith, Associate Artist-in-Residence with Sculptor Gio Pomodoro (1999)
Harry Messersmith maintains a full-service bronze and cast glass foundry and sculpture atelier in New Smyrna Beach and continues to refine his sculpture, which he describes as triangulated figures. His work addresses the evolution of technology and its positive and negative effects upon the human condition.
Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre, ACA Partner Organization
Founded in 2005 by Artistic Directors Kristin Bender Polizzi and Rachael Leonard, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre is a professional dance company based in Volusia County. SCDT presents a full season of artistic and compelling performances locally each year, and tours nationally and internationally.
Jamieson Thomson Thomas, Arts on Douglas Alt-Space Artist (2017)
Winter Park artist Jamieson Thomas is an MFA candidate at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. An accomplished artist trained in traditional methods, she paints and sculpts not only beautiful things she observes, but her ideas, dreams, altered realities, and creates installations that address issues of concern to her.

Niurca Marquez, Associate Artist-in-Residence with Wally Cardona (2010), Liz Lerman (2012) and Victoria Marks (2013) and ACA Community Artist-in-Residence (Fall 2014)
Niurca Márquez is an artist/researcher with a wide range, as a creator and performer in film, site-specific work and staged performance. Her work has been commissioned by and presented on curatorial platforms in Europe and the US. She presents new works that examine notions of identity, cultural memory and ritual in flamenco within a contemporary framework.
