Residency Statement

My own work is very interdisciplinary, incorporating video, performance, installation, drawing, sound, and internet art. I’m interested in media specificity and my process is a research-centered one of approaching core conceptual or cultural questions (usually related to intersections of pop culture, politics, and the history of technology) from a variety of material angles. That said, I’m interested in working with self-directed Associate Artists of any discipline. Our three weeks together will include group and individual critiques, as well as screenings and discussion of additional artworks and a small packet of pdf’s tailored to our crew & distributed in advance of your arrival for reading at your convenience. The goal will be to hone the fine art of experimentation, while leaving ACA with a finished work.
