Join ACA Arts & Wellness ambassadors Vicki Gross (MT-BC) and Ashlee Hughes (MT-BC) as they guide you through creative ways to enhance the quality of your daily routine. Beginner’s Mind: Chasing the Censors Away When We Write Poems

Wednesdays, April 3 and April 10, 2019 | 4 PM - 6 PM. Join Florida Poet Laureate for Volusia County, M.B. McLatchey, in this workshop series where poets will practice techniques for chasing away the censors that tell us what we can say or should say in our poems. Come try your hand at writing as “beginners” again, generating poems that take risks and tell truths. All levels of poets are welcome, from new to advanced. Limited to 15 participants. Bethany Bennett, MFA leads wellness workshops focusing on the spiritual in art, and that which drives one to create.   Explore painting with pointillism for repetition, and expressive brush movements for stress relief. Learn different techniques with charcoal, mixed media and paint to produce an original expressive artwork. $20, supplies included. Limited to 20 participants.
