Music & the Mind: Gift of a Lifetime Choir

Council on Aging 2650 North Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach

2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM, NSB Council on Aging, 2650 N. Dixie Frwy., New Smyrna Beach. Led by registered music therapist Vicki Gross, our community choir invites the participation of care partners, caregivers, and anyone wishing to keep their mind healthy and active. You don’t need to carry a tune, we’re interested in having fun, making memories, and expressing our creativity!

Caregiving for a loved one is a journey of joy and difficulty. Join ACA Arts & Wellness ambassadors Vicki Gross (MT-BC) and Ashlee Hughes (MT-BC) as they guide you through creative ways to enhance the quality of your daily routine. Come learn how to connect mind, body and spirit by using the arts as a tool of self-care, social interaction, and lifelong learning. RSVP required, limited to 20 participants per session

You’ll find unique, handmade gifts like jewelry, crafts, decorations, décor and more by our dedicated group of volunteer artisans. IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts Office 214 S Riverside Dr., New Smyrna Beach

The IMAGES Holiday Tour of Homes will present unique homes decorated for the holidays and showcasing the charm of New Smyrna Beach. This is a favorite event of the Central Florida community, and groups of friends attend year after year as a kick-off to the holiday season. The popular IMAGES Boutique is included in your tour and features handmade items created by ACA Volunteer League Members. This year we have added a Friday night cocktail party! Join us at the riverfront Davenport Home for live music, a full bar, and delectable hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Sue of New Smyrna Beach. This event is included with your $50 ticket. Friday Cocktail Party, Saturday Tour, and Boutique. Tickets: $50 (Limited quantity)

Painting Techniques for Expression

ACA Charlotte Battle Everbach Painting Studio 1414 Art Center Ave., New Smyrna Beach

Join local artist and expressive arts facilitator Bethany Bennett Behr, MFA to explore acrylic painting techniques with attention to mindfulness and emotional awareness. Learn about color and mood associations, the repetition and meditation of brushstrokes and how to use emotion as fuel for creativity. $45 / ACA members $30. Limited to 30 participants.
