Music & the Mind: Gift of a Lifetime Choir

Council on Aging 2650 North Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach

2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM, NSB Council on Aging, 2650 N. Dixie Frwy., New Smyrna Beach. Led by registered music therapist Vicki Gross, our community choir invites the participation of care partners, caregivers, and anyone wishing to keep their mind healthy and active. You don’t need to carry a tune, we’re interested in having fun, making memories, and expressing our creativity!

Through the annual University Student Exhibition, Atlantic Center honors the outstanding work being produced by state university art students, and recognizes their dedication to the pursuit of excellence. Featuring: Sophia Baldwin - Florida State University, Colt Bass - University of Central Florida, Tabatha Gonzalez - University of Florida, and Velma McDermott - Florida International University. ACA Summer Art Camp

ACA Downtown: Yurick Studios 123 Douglas Street, New Smyrna Beach

Painting, music, dance and more – kids love Summer Art Camp at Atlantic Center for the Arts! Modeled after Atlantic Center’s world-renowned artists-in-residence program, each one-week session features three classes that give kids an opportunity to explore ideas of art and culture through hands-on experiences with a variety of art forms, including paper maché, painting, photography, yoga, drumming, dance, and more. This year we celebrate New Smyrna Beach's 250th anniversary with the theme “The Art of NSB”. Weekly art camps: June 5 – July 20, 2018 (Ages 6-12) and July 24 – July 27, 2018 (Ages 13-17).
Tuesday – Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM. $130 per week/ $105 for ACA members. Pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available for each session.
