Conservation/Conversation: a sound artist talk with Mary Edwards

Join sound artist Mary Edwards, the 2022 artist in residence at the ACA Soundscape Field Station at Canaveral National Seashore for a special presentation about her current exhibition Conservation/Conversation (on display through May 2^nd at Apollo Beach). The artist has spent time living and listening within Canaveral National Seashore, and says “listening to, and describing sounds are an inherent and integral part of my process of understanding co-existences, and how ‘conservation’ and ‘conversation’ are etymologically, and urgently, interchangeable.“ She invites the public to better understand the soundscape through “spatial-sensory, historical and ecological awareness.”
