Atlantic Center for the Arts hosts Residency #184 with Mentoring Artists Timo Andres – composer / performer, Jaquira Díaz – poet, Guadalupe Maravilla – transdisciplinary artist, and 18 Associate Artists from across the United States. During their three-week stay, the Associate Artists will spend a portion of the day working with the Mentoring Artists, in group meetings, workshops, casual conversations, and activities to expand their work.

Jaquira Díaz, writer“It takes courage to write a book like “Ordinary Girls,” and Díaz does not shy away from her deepest, most troubling truths. She jumps into the writing of her story and gets her hands dirty, her heart broken, her spirit bruised.” – Reyna Grande, NY Times. Jaquira Díaz is a Pabst Endowed Chair for Master Writers. Atlantic Center for the Arts was awarded a Presentation Grant by South Arts to support the engagement of Jaquira Díaz.
