Blue Flower Arts Winter Writers' Conference

The 6th Annual Blue Flower Arts Winter Writers’ Conference features renowned faculty in poetry, fiction, and memoir in a tranquil and stimulating oasis removed from life’s daily routines and pressures.  Join Benjamin Percy (Fiction), Nick Flynn (Memoir), and Carolyn Forche (Poetry), for exciting and enlightening week-long workshops in the Florida sun. This year we welcome Jeffrey Shotts, executive editor at Graywolf Press, who will lead a panel on editing and be available for individual manuscript consultations. Register today!

ACA Community Artists-in-Residence, Niurca Marquez

Experimental Flamenco based theater performance artist Niurca Marquez pushes the limits of dance and flamenco aesthetics into a space that shatters stereotypes and takes us on a journey of cultural memory and how it is passed from one generation to the next.

Two former ACA Master Artists named 2014 MacArthur Fellows

Two former Master Artists from Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach have been named 2014 MacArthur Fellows, an award recognizing 21 exceptionally creative individuals with a track record of achievement and the potential for significant contributions in the future. Rick Lowe (ACA 2011) is a public artist who reinvented community revitalization as an art form by transforming a long-neglected neighborhood in Houston into a visionary amalgam of arts venue, community support center, and historic preservation initiative.
