Atlantic Center’s Annual Auction
Arts supporters looking for interesting trips, original works of art by renowned artists, and unique opportunities can find all of these and more at Atlantic Center for the Arts’ 26th Annual Horsin’ Around Auction on Sunday, April 5, at the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport on U.S. 1 in New Smyrna Beach.
From its innovative beginnings on a horse farm (hence the name), to its current staging under a massive tent complete with gourmet food and wines and an exotic car show, the auction continues to attract over 500 affluent arts enthusiasts annually. Its hallmark is its select and unique auction offerings: trips put together by Atlantic Center trustees, a devout group of Horsin’ Around committee members who travel the globe seeking different items, and area businesses who donate exceptional services, interesting items, and gift certificates.
The auctions feature items covering a wide array of interests and offer phenomenal deals benefiting Atlantic Center for the Arts, a nonprofit artists-in-residence community, and its community outreach facility Atlantic Center at Harris House.
Auction items include:
- Stays in Private Homes and Resorts in Exotic Locales including Aruba, Paris, Thailand, Napa Valley, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, Nantucket, North Carolina, and Washington, DC
- Day of Crewed Sailing and Dining for Four out of St. Petersburg on the 42-Foot Vessel "Fantastique" and an overnight stay at the fabulous Vinoy
- Trip for two to food heaven's "Fancy Food Show" in New York City, including entry to the exclusive "Meet the Tastemakers" reception, with appetizers, entrees and desserts from New York's best restaurants, along with fine wines and spirits

- Dinner at Central Florida’s finest restaurants and golf at its most challenging courses, tickets to cultural and sporting events, wines and unique items for the home, and much more!
The silent auction and wine tasting begin at 11 a.m. Lunch is served at noon, and the live auction starts at 1 p.m. The silent auction closes 10 minutes after the live auction concludes.
Enjoy a great afternoon with friends in support of the Central Florida arts community! Tickets to the event are $100 each (70% tax-deductible) and include food and drink all day, entertainment, and an auction bidder number; reserved host tables of eight are $1,000.
