Doris Leeper, Atlantic Center for the Arts Founder, was adept at many things but hard edge painting and large scale sculpture were her expertise. Leeper expressed herself through color variation, shape reconfiguration and abstract expressionistic color field painting. She created intriguing, illusionistic paintings and installations. To pay homage to Doris Leeper and her contributions to contemporary art, Atlantic Center for the Arts at Harris House is seeking entries for a juried art exhibition titled “Hard Edge Painting” for the month of September.
2 or 3 Dimensional works submitted should relate to Abstract Art, Color Field Painting or “Hard Edge” Painting. The works submitted should have a focus on shape and/or color. 1-3 Images may be submitted as JPG or PDF, along with a description of the work and the works relevance to the show. Title of work, medium used, dimensions and year created must accompany each image.
